LED AND FUNDED BY
Many people struggle with mental health issues and find that traditional medicine does not offer a satisfactory way of either treating or managing their concerns. Many researchers are demonstrating that psychedelics are promising in the treatment of a wide variety of mental health concerns. Also, there is also growing awareness that psychedelics may be helpful in managing some of the unpleasant side effects of mental health medications. A number of surveys have indicated that people with a variety of mental health diagnoses do use psychedelics and this survey is designed to deepen this knowledge by finding out more specifics about how psychedelics can help. This survey is unique in that it can be completed by either someone with a mental health concern OR a someone who knows them (e.g., family, friend, physician). As we believe in sharing, the results of the survey will be made widely available to researchers through the open science concept. This sharing of knowledge may help:
- the development of new treatments
- the refining of existing treatments
- the management of medication side effects
- people who struggle with mental health issues to manage their issues more effectively
- understanding the mental processes of illness and wellness
Those with serious mental health diagnoses are often left out of the current psychedelic studies, however, there have been myriad anecdotal reports of beneficial changes to mental health symptoms, medication use, and medication side effects where we feel that an observational study is warranted. Unique to this survey is the ability to submit personal experiences or those from someone you know (friend, family, patient, etc).
Thanks in advance for helping make this knowledge and wisdom more available.
