Backend Engineer

We're looking for a full-time Backend Engineer to join our backend services team. The backend team is responsible for the REST APIs, data processing services and managing our underlying production infrastructure. They will work closely with our mobile and web teams on project requirements and with the CTO and VP Engineering on systems design and implementation.

The backend team is small so there are a lot of opportunities to influence design, direction, and culture. It also means the team takes on the additional responsibility of maintaining our staging and production infrastructure so any and all devops experience is a valuable asset, particularly with regards to large-scale, multi-tenant systems or significant experience with PaaS (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar).

We expect the role to grow or adapt along with the needs of the company and towards your interests and strengths.
